"Developed from research and drawings gathered during my exploration of Campbeltown in July 2023, the study captures a broad perspective or ‘fisheye’ view, offering a panoramic glimpse of Springbank distillery’s stillhouse. 

The composition reveals the spirit safe and provides a peek into both the arched mash room and washback rooms. Springbank, boasting its own floor maltings and directly fired wash still, is often acknowledged as the epitome of a 19th century Scotch distilling (at least for those who have not ventured to Harris’ remote Abhainn Dearg Distillery), with assertions from the Springbank team that they employ ‘technology nae more advanced than a thermometer."
